The neighborhoods of Ipanema and Copacabana internationally known for its beautiful beaches and cultural, hide behind buildings, a reality very common in the country, which are the slums. They are areas of Atlantic forest that were illegally occupied by families of low income. As a land ingrime and difficult to access, the favelas generate property devaluation, urban disorder and violence, because in most of them the trafficking of drugs is a common activity. Known as Cantagalo and Pavão Pavãozinho, these communities are located in one of the most beautiful postcards of the city of Rio de Janeiro. This week, the president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva announced the deployment of a program of urbanization with spending of 16 million dollars over the next two years. Now, the question is not to silence: Why these slums are not removed? Public opinion suggests that the areas are transferred to large land among important highway in the city. What do you think? The Rio de Janeiro would not be a better city for all with the remotions? If you live ou know the cite os Rio de Janeiro, give your opinion?
